SiMao Arabica is Yunnan arabica coffee grown in the SiMao region in the Southwest of Yunnan province. 100% washed by natural spring water in the ManLao River plantation, SiMao coffee is characterized homogenous quality, purity, and untainted flavor. The coffee is a pest-resistant strain characterized by small pellet size (about 16 screen). Freshly roasted SiMao Arabica has a bright acidity and is intensely aromatic. The cup is very well-balanced, with fruity undertones.


History

The SiMao arabica strain was first introduced to the Yunnan province by the French missionaries in 1892. The strain was optimized over the years through government-funded research to possess qualities such as pest-resistance.
